View the CV ↗Born in Montreal in 1941, Alain-Marie Tremblay is a ceramic artist, sculptor and materials researcher. After studying ceramics in Montreal and printmaking in Paris, he settled in Val-David and built a practice spanning pottery, monumental sculpture and public art.
Between 1980 and 1985, he developed bétonique, a material made with kaolin clay and a hydraulic binder. His work brings ceramic thinking into architecture and the northern landscape.

At the meeting point of ceramics and concrete, this material developed by Alain-Marie Tremblay makes it possible to create sculpture and installations for outdoor life in a northern climate.
